Candice Breitz | Ponderosa



Beginning this Friday, the Kunstmuseum in Stuttgart will host a twenty-year retrospective of the work of Candice Breitz. The exhibition, curated by Ulrike Groos and Carolin Wurzbacher, will include the Babel Series, Four Duets, Legend (A Portrait of Bob Marley), Mother + Father,  Factum, Monuments, Working Class Hero (A Portrait of John Lennon), Alien (Ten Songs from Beyond), Becoming and Portrait of an Artist.

It will also feature the debut of Love Story (2016), a new seven-channel installation starring Alec Baldwin and Julianne Moore, based on and featuring extensive interviews with José Maria João (Angola), Mamy Maloba Langa (Democratic Republic of the Congo), Sarah Ezzat Mardini (Syria), Farah Abdi Mohamed (Somalia), Luis Ernesto Nava Molero (Venezuela) and Shabeena Francis Saveri (India).
